SOSH is an independent and student operated organization which is dependent upon outside financial support in the funding of its Mission. Each year the student members of SOSH, at their own expense, travel to countries where individuals do not have access to the vision care we enjoy here at home.
Tax deductible financial donations are used to provide eye examinations as well as purchase prescription glasses which are distributed on our Mission trips to those in need. They also provide the means by which deserving individuals receive vision restoring procedures such as cataract removal during our mission trips. In addition, SOSH members participate in research programs designed to track and enhance the positive impact these simple procedures and dispensing have on the communities we visit.
